Fascial Stretch Therapy

Who is it for?
Absolutely anyone. FST is available to people of all ages and fitness levels and is used by athletes, pensioners and Olympians alike. FST’s benefits include pain relief, stress reduction, improved mobility (and associated weight loss) and posture, improved sleep and even better enjoyment of sex.
FST is compatible with other therapies like yoga, traditional massage and post-injury therapy.

Lift Training Studios are delighted to now offer Fascial Stretch Therapy (FST) with certified Level 2 practitioner Niamh Fitzgerald. FST is a table-based stretch therapy which focuses on the connective tissues of the body. It goes beyond merely stretching muscles and instead is devoted to the entire system: muscles, nerves, tendons, ligaments, bones and organs. Fascia is the connecting fibre holding all of these components together.

How does it work?
Your FST therapist uses a table and traction to move your joints and surrounding tissues, focusing on one area at a time. Your therapist manipulates your body in ways you would not be able to achieve on your own, producing feelings of release, relief, flexibility and lengthening.
