GRÁINNE MAC GIOLLA RÍ PT

Having worked for over 20 years in the pensions & investment industry, Gráinne has undertaken a bold and exciting change to follow her passion for fitness. Over ten years ago, Gráinne discovered that she had osteopenia, a condition that results in the loss of bone density. From that day on, through the use of weighted exercising, Gráinne set out to get stronger and prioritise her bone density health.

During her journey, and much to her surprise, she discovered a love for running and was soon participating in a number of half-marathons! Before long, Gráinne took the big step to her first of four marathons; Dublin (2015), New York (2016), Berlin (2019) & Dublin (2019).

In addition to running, Gráinne is an advocate for strength and resistance training, and its importance for bone density health, as well as overall physical and mental health (especially as we age!). It’s no small feat to be a mum and role model to four active and amazing teenage girls, and yet Gráinne still regularly makes time to volunteer in the community. She is an incredible addition to our team here at LIFT and we look forward to the hard work, dedication, and love for fitness that she brings to work everyday!
